Polini kit question

Postby Bob Uhl on Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:49 pm

So I'm reading the intructions for this kit and I read this short sentence saying that i should lap the head valve and check for tightness. I've used lapping compound to final fit gears onto shafts before. Do you think that's what they want me to do? I'm talking about the decompression valve for a vespa motor. hmm. Your thoughts?

I guess as long as your valve is tight fitting and snaps closed like it should... I would ignore it.
